Sonny Billotte, a junior at the University of Tampa studying journalism, has discovered how to look fashionable without spending a lot of money to do so.
Through pinterest, Sonny found websites that taught her how to customize clothing, jewelry, and other household accesories all on her own. Instead of paying over $100 dollars on a cute pair of shorts she utilizes the salvation army, a thrift-type clothing store, and decorates them better than the originals she had spotted.
Sonny’s interest in DIY (Do It Yourself) projects began last semester and continued heavily into the summer. She has made her own jewelry, shorts, tops, and even a jewelry rack. Her talent is so developed that her friends often request some of her DIY items.
Sonny has succesfully found a creative way to keep her interest in fashion flowing without breaking the bank.
