This summer college students all over the country were applying their skills and knowledge at some amazing internships. Anna Brown, who is a senior at the University of Tampa had one of the most unique and successful internship experiences. She had a very hands on internship at a local top 40 radio station near her hometown in Connecticut.
Anna worked at I98.3 two days a week throughout the entire summer. One day was filled with contacting special guest stars to come do a radio show, hosting on-air contests and doing various promotions for the station.
On the later day of the week that Anna interned at I98.3, she actually was able to be live on-air with one of the station’s most popular DJ’s. Known as “Intern Anna”, she quickly became one of the station’s most recognizable new voices.
Anna Brown is studying Communications with a minor in Journalism and her ultimate dream is to become a News Anchor for a big time news station. Anna’s internship provided her with great outlets to express her personality as well as learning how to apply her natural talents to a true form of news media.
